It was never a conscious decision to work exclusively with clients who excel at what they do but neither is it a coincidence. We seem to attract clients who provide beautiful, intelligent or innovative things because we're motivated by the same vision - an urge to do something beyond the ordinary and predictable.
With an MSc in Marketing and a keen eye for detail, Ali is an invaluable member of the BAAM team. He creates and manages content for our clients across a range of disciplines including video, motion graphics, written content and social media. Dave founded BAAM in 2001 and his growing affinity with the creative community developed into an appetite and a talent for brand and strategy assignments. Since then, he has ridden plenty of storms but has remained true to his original vision: 'Your last piece of work should always be your best'.
Fortunately, we talked them out of a suicidal head-to-head with a wealthier competitor. Instead, we devised a loyalty scheme for stockists which made our client the darling of the industry. So: First we work out what needs to be achieved, then we take a good look at the marketplace. Only when we've identified a gap in the competitive landscape do we start proposing media, let alone coming up with creative ideas.
A brand that fails to move forward can only slide backwards. So we apply to our clients' brands a process of on-going review and evolution, exploiting new techniques as they become available. Social media has provided many such valuable opportunities - and now the growing emphasis upon consumer experience offers many more, especially in the retail world.
It works effortlessly across the burgeoning number of platforms and applications available to the digitally-literate consumer - with one caveat: like every other form of advertising, it has to be more than a bald announcement. To cut through the clutter of the Internet, it has to contain an idea. At BAAM, we strive always to be innovative, ingenious, attractive, startling, engaging, amusing - whatever is required to steal a march over our competitors, for the benefit of our clients.It wasn't so long ago that advertising was a tune scored for quite a small ensemble.

We have used BAAM for many years for our design and website work. Paul designed our new branding last year and really understood the vibe we wanted to create with it. We get nothing but compliments about the logo with our next door neighbours heading to BAAM for some new branding after seeing the pink lamp logo appear everywhere on our unit, vans etc!
