Differentia provide a number of services and solutions including the design and fabrication of art installations, interpretation panels, signage and wayfinding. We work with other interpretive specialists as well as Landscape Architects and designers. The projects we undertake are diverse - from single panels to providing a suite of outputs for large scale restoration schemes.

We work with a diverse range of clients from small environmental groups and wildlife trusts to local authorities, landscape architects and statutory bodies such as the National Trust and Heritage Lottery funded projects such as Landscape Partnerships.

Differentia is a design company that employs the power of design to create a sense of place. We are based in Hexham, Northumberland and work throughout the United Kingdom on projects that include: Public Art, Interpretation, Interpretation Panels and Wayfinding. Steve is an artist and designer, specialising in the area of Interpretation, combining his artistic skills with his reading of the landscape.

What we do Report

We are focussed on the outdoors - spaces and places that inspire and enrich. These are the places we thrive. The landscape is the first consideration and from our examination of the sense of place we design suitably landscape appropriate solutions. These can take the form of interpretation panels, seating, interpretive installations, public art, walls and basically anything we feel can help to tell a story and bring a place to life.

Artists Blog Report

We have been commissioned to undertake a public art commission as part of the design of public open space associated with the new public open space at Houghton Regis. The artworks are being developed as a suite of three interpretive installations.
